CMS Meitech Turkey Transfer
The Turkey Line Transfer MT-117 machine is designed to cut the turkey legs and automatically transfer the carcasses from the picking side to the evisceration side of processing.
The turkeys enter the Turkey Rehanger on both feet from the scalding/killing line shackles. A circular guide called the “thigh positioner,” shaped like a “daisy wheel,” positions the legs to be cut precisely at the knee joint powered by a motor. At the same time, another circular guide called the “transfer plate” holds the thighs and then transfers the turkeys into the evisceration shackles.
An electronic synchronization system continuously controls this entire operation, which can be easily accessed via the control panel. The SEW-Eurodrive frequency converters, among other items, govern the activation and synchronization of the transfer system.
